ROTARY CLUB OF FLACQ, MAURITIUS - ROTARY DISTRICT 9220

Together, we use our passion, energy, resources, knowledge, and network to take action to create lasting change – across the globe, in our communities, and in in ourselves. Our moto is “service above self”. Collectively, we work to:

➢ Save mothers and children

➢ Support education

➢ Grow local economies

➢ Protect the environment, and

➢ Disaster response

One of the most impactful initiative of Rotary International is the eradication of Polio in the world, and we are just close in achieving to ending polio for good and to declaring the world free of the wild poliovirus.

The Rotary Club of Flacq (RCF), one of the 23 Rotary Clubs in Mauritius, was created in 2002, through the sponsorship of the Rotary Club of Beau Bassin - Rose Hill. We work closely with the local stakeholders in the District of Flacq and its 36 villages to improve the quality of life in our community. Our actions focus on the above 8 avenues of actions as outlined by Rotary International. Our current President is Rotarian Bala Sawmynaden and our membership is 33 members strong, all leaders in their respective professions and fields of activity. We meet on Thursdays evening at Chez Manual Restaurant.
